I spent six months traveling Japan and creating this installation. I created it on trains, in hotel rooms, at museums while I walked through cities and on mountain tops.
This installation is part meditation, part interaction; it is a city of possibilities. I have had many coffees, beers, and experiences with the people I have met in Japan, and we created Tapigami together. Their works are displayed here as well.
This work helped me cope with being in a foreign country for 6 months alone, but is also designed to show the possibility of creating art work while traveling and having no studio.
